Hey Greedy Readers,

Last week I asked you to send in questions you might have for me - and boy did you deliver! Some of them were sweet. Some of them were nosy (love it!). One of you tried to emotionally blackmail me about All Access. I respect the greedy.

Let's get into it!

Q: When is Pope coming? Common Scents? Mac and Cheese? Wicked Ties? ALL THE BOOKS!?!?

The inevitable "WHERE IS THIS BOOK, EVIE!???" Here's where things stand:

• Pope - Release Date - 23 December 2026 (tentative)
  
• The Sovereign League - 28 January 2027 (confirmed)
  
• Common Scents - 01 July 2027 (tentative) [note: subject to audiobook finalization] 
  
• Wicked Ties, Brutal Binds, Vile Vows - starting 01 March 2027 (tentative)
• Stoneheart MC Season 2  - Currently negotiating with Megan Wade and will confirm once we have the books written. 
• Mac and Cheese - This one is out on query with agents so no release date as yet. BUT if it doesn't get an agent then I'll likely release end of 2027. 

I know that's not the tidy release calendar you deserve. Believe me, nobody wants these books out more than the woman who has them living rent-free in her head. But life has occurred and I hope to give you more info ASAP! 

Q: Any update on Common Scents? Have you abandoned it? If it's never coming, please tell me so I can move on. Will there be a book #4 in the All Access series? It feels incomplete without the last story — all love, no pressure!

No, it is not abandoned. It's tentatively scheduled for a release date of 1 July 2027, BUT (and this is a big one), this is all subject to narrators availability and the audio being completed.

So to confirm, you don't need to move on, but I'd pack a snack for the wait.

Q: Tell me more about Wicked Ties and The Sovereign League!

Oh, you mean my E.V. Mitchell problem children?

The Sovereign League is to release under E.V. Mitchell on 28 January 2027. It's a sci fi dystopian romantasy, with dragons, deadly televised games, a broke girl from the Rookery with a smart mouth and everything to lose. Think class rage with a death clock attached and a why choose slow burn I refuse to rush. Serial readers have been riding along chapter by chapter and their screaming sustains me. Wicked Ties is book 3 in the Shadowmist Pack series, and is Levi's book. You got a brief glimpse at the end of Book 2, but this is about Prudence and Levi learning how to love someone who is the polar opposite of them. Not gonna lie, I am obsessed and can't wait for you guys to read it. Book 4 and 5 I'm also drafting and am looking forward to you guys getting these as well.

Q: What is happening with the Bride Hunt?

The Maiden was just the beginning of that world. It's available for purchase, including some extra bride hunt boxes and paperbacks at TheBrideHunt.com.

Q: Will your books be available outside of Amazon — like Kobo+?

Unfortunately I had to go back into KU because readers weren't using other platforms at a rate that allowed me to continue to make a living wage. I'm back in KU but if you're wanting non-Amazon alternatives, you can get my books through libraries, and direct from my website.

Q: What's your favorite line you've ever written?

OH GOD! Asking me to pick a favorite line is like asking me to pick a favorite child, except I have thirty-something children. 

Okay, I do have a favourite line in a current WIP but it reveals something so I don't want to reveal as a spoiler. Instead, I'll say it might be a tie between these two for today: 

“She’s beautiful before her curse, but it’s her rage that made her a legend.” - Darn Knit All 

"Her body had changed, leaving behind the lankiness of youth to grow full and curvy. Stretch marks coloured her skin. I slid the dress down her thighs, murmuring my thanks when she lifted up, the material falling away to reveal new dimples and dips dotting her thighs. She no longer held the sweet blush of Eve, but the full-bodied glow of Venus and Aphrodite." - Love Flushed

Q: When you have an illness (mental and/or physical) and all you want to do is write — how do you get motivated?

Honestly, I don't always get motivated. Some days the body or my mind says no, and forcing it just makes both worse.

What works for me is shrinking the goal until it's almost insultingly small. I don't necessarily focus on "write the chapter"  but write one sentence. I also Voice-memo or dictate the idea from bed. I find scribbling the dialogue that won't shut up or the scene that's alter in the book is fine or even a different book, and let that count towad your progress. The ideas keep. They feel urgent, but they keep. My main focus has always been to look at progress, not perfection. If progress today is opening the MS and rereading what I wrote, great. if it's taking a day off to rest so i can write another day, great.

If the issue is motivation and you're feeling okay enough to write, then I'd suggest looking for people who can body-double with you. I sometimes use Focusmate, which has a free tier where you can go one-on-one with someone and set a goal for your time together. Or I reach out to friends and do writing sprints or admin sprints or scheduling all the social media sprints. The goal in those is to just get things done, not to get EVERYTHING done.   

Remember to be as kind to yourself as you'd be to your favorite heroine — she's allowed a bad day. So are you. 

Q: What got you into writing spice — or writing at all?

The short version: I was a reader first. I love romance stories, and I went to talk back in 2014 by Kristen Ashley when she came to Australia. She was talking about the power of romance novels, and how romance changed her life. It was inspiring, and it made me think, "maybe I should give this a go." 

When I started to write, I wanted to do one that was a love letter to plus size bodies. It felt disingenuous to me to close the door when it got spicy. Romance is about intimacy in every sense, and I've never seen the point of closing the door on the most honest conversations two characters can have. Also, it's fun. Wildly, cackling-at-my-keyboard fun! 

Q: What is one kink you would never write?

Loving the confidence that I have a list. Hmm, let me see. I think anything without enthusiastic consent doesn't really do it for me. I also think in the same vein I'd struggle to write age gap romance. I know, I KNOW! So many people love it but it's just not for me. I always feel like there's too much of a power imbalance between the couples, and that often it's not reconciled to my satisfaction. I think I'd really struggle to write that. 

Also, scatophilia or coprophilia. Hard pass. 

Q: Why does it take you so long to write books? Not to be rude but you used to be faster and it's pretty disappointing to wait so long. 

Hey, thanks for the question! That is a tiny bit rude, but I'll forgive you because I understand where the frustration is coming from! So, so, so greedy! 

There's a few reasons it takes me longer now. First, I'm writing longer books now. Feral fates was 90,000 words. The Sovereign League is even longer. These take more time to write, edit, redraft, edit again, sob over, have a break down, format it, market, convince myself it's not a piece of shit, sob again, then publish. All of that takes time. 

Second, I'm fighting four chronic illnesses, one of which I was only diagnosed with in October 2025. It's been a process to adjust to new medications and my focus has been on learning my new normal and what my body is capable of. Plus, hundred of hours of medical visits has cut into my writing time.  

Third, I think it's okay for me to slow down a little and try to improve my craft. I pushed out so many books early in my career, and much of the critical feedback was around spelling or grammar errors, or the romance feeling rushed, or formatting issues. These days, I'm writing full-time which gives me a chance to be more considered and have the time and space to get the final product to be as polished as it can be. 

Lastly, I'm trying to spend more time with my family. I have new nephews and nieces who I want to visit and see grow up, and I have a husband who was wildly neglected for a few years when I first started writing. Spending time with them refills my creative well and helps centre me.
