Grumpy / Sunshine

He's brooding. She's a ray of light. He doesn't stand a chance.

This is the trope that built my career. Give me a man who scowls at the world but melts for one specific woman and I will write you 80,000 words about it without stopping to breathe.

• The Shake-Up (Capricorn Cove) — The quintessential grumpy/sunshine only reversed. He shakes up her life. She pretends to hate it. She's lying.

Fated mates is the trope where free will takes a back seat and destiny drives the car. I adore writing it because the tension isn't will they get together — it's how do they survive getting together when the bond is this overwhelming?
